Our youth group is available for small scale and rural touring, corporate events, weddings and celebrations of all kinds.

Yuva Culture offers a repertory programme of traditional Bharatanatyam pieces as well as pieces with a modern twist. This means that we are able to tailor-make something that is flexible for your event, offering either full length productions or shorter pieces that can be billed with other groups.

The youth group, with its innovative and adventurous quality, is able to adapt to various settings, including outdoor or site-specific locations, and does not need to perform in a conventional theatre style.

Bahirang (20 minutes)

An upbeat and funky approach to Bharatanatyam, with music that was specially composed for Nina Rajarani by Shankar Mahadevan.

Cycles (15 minutes)
An abstract dance piece based on various movement cycles, "Cycles" is one of the company’s most popular works with music by Y Yadavan. . View a video of "Cycles" at the ISTD's 10th anniversary Misrana event at London's Southbank Centre in February 2009 here.

Rhythm Speaks (6 minutes)
"Rhythm Speaks" is an exploration through dance of the musical nuances of a fusion piece composed by Bikram Ghosh.  The piece displays the precision, strong lines, geometric shapes and rhythmic intricacies of Bharatanatyam.

Charmed (8 minutes)
“Charmed” is a Bharatanatyam reading of two key sequences in the tale of Cinderella, depicting the arrival at the ball and Cinderella’s encounter with Prince Charming where she falls in love. “Charmed” combines narrative, character and pure dance in a celebration of first love.

Just Dance (9 minutes)
Joy, division and rebellion: "Just Dance" is a piece about the members of Srishti Yuva Culture and their undying passion for dance. No matter how hard the rest of the world tries to pull them away, they always return to dancing! Created by Yuva members for ReFresh 2011 at The Place using music selected by Richard Alston CBE. See a video of The Place performance here.
